Check out this great video
1. On the RV...side opposite the RV entrance door find the water valve connected to a white hose and turn it fully on.
2. On the steps inside the RV going up to the bedroom find a toggle switch for the water heater and push it on. It is on when the light on the switch is on. For the Montana only if the light is out the water will go cold (The light on the Avalanche will go out once it lights).
3. On the wall opposite of the water heater toggle switch is the furnace and air-conditioner. Set to what you need. Please use the space heaters to maintain the heat during cold weather once the furnace has warmed up the RV. NOTE: Always turn off and unplug any space heaters anytime you are leaving the RV area.
4. That's all you need to do.
5. Optionally you can roll out the awning. The switch for this is near the floor just inside the RV entrance. Note: PLEASE ROLL THE AWNING IN IF YOU DETECT OR ANTICIPATE ANY HIGH WIND CONDITIONS (OVER 20 MPH WINDS).
1. IMPORTANT: ROLL IN THE AWNING. If the awning is out find the toggle at the floor at the entrance to the RV and roll it back in. Watch this with the door open and stop when you hear a loud click when its back against the RV.
2. IMPORTANT: SHUT OFF THE WATER HEATER. Find the water heater switch on the wall at the bedroom stairs and turn it off. NOTE it is off when the switch light is out.
3. When you are done using the toilet go outside opposite of the RV entrance and open the storage door above the water faucet and electric meter using the round tumbler key. Take the black garden hose and connect it to the "Black Tank Rinse" connection. I have added "quick disconnects" to both ends of the black hose so it will need to snap on and off like pressure washer connections. Do not stand near them when you first turn on the water in case you didn't get them snapped on correctly. Turn on the black garden hose. Now look for a pull labeled Black Water Tank. Pull that out. All others should already be in the out position. Let the black garden hose run for 3 to 4 minutes. Push the Black Water Hold Tank Pull back completely in. Wait for about 30 to 40 seconds and turn off the black garden hose. Disconnect the black garden hose. The sewer dump is now complete. Do not use the toilet after this step. Do not do anything with the gray water tank pulls.
4. When you are done using water in the RV again go to the side of the RV opposite of the RV entrance and turn off the fresh water faucet connected to the white supply hose.
5. Walk the RV perimeter and check for unlocked outside storage doors. Lock all with the round tubular key except the two holding propane tanks. Leave the propane storage doors unlocked.
6. Inside the RV go to the furnace and air-conditioner controls and turn all to off.
7. Turn off and if possible unplug any space heaters.
8. Make sure both small fridge in the bedroom and the large fridge in the kitchen are completely closed.
10. Walk the RV and make sure the fan in the bathroom and all lights are turned off.
11. Lock the RV and return keys to the Avalanche (or to the key lock if that is where you got them).
